A blind man can see that Reggie Brown doesn’t fit into the equation right now here with the Eagles.
He’s not going to be a starter and he doesn’t play special teams.
Jason Avant and Hank Baskett don’t start but they do a good job on the special teams and they have key roles in this offense.
They are the best blockers of the wide receivers on the football team. Both of them will catch whatever is thrown to them over the middle and take a pounding.
Brown knows that he’s out of the door sooner or later. The Eagles don’t want to cut him, because they think they’ll be able to trade him before they have to cut him.
Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg pumped up Brown in his news conference in an attempt to get some attention from teams who might need a polished, veteran but still young receiver.
Brown is a good football players and could be a good number two or number three receiver for somebody but he's not a number one.
The Eagles had him take over for Terrell Owens when he left and that was a mistake because it had people comparing him to Owens We all know there is no comparison between the two.
If you just look at him for what he can do, he's not a bad football player and the Eagles should be able to get something for him.
When asked about why he hadn’t been traded already, Brown said, "I see myself as a nice little package – hard to give away."
Brown refused to do a Sheldon Brown and request a trade. he kept his mouth shut.
"You want to get out there and tell everyone how you feel," Brown said. "I'm taking a different approach."
