"Only three NFL teams finished in the NFL's top 10 in both offense and defense last season – the New England Patriots, Giants and Eagles".
So says Rich Gosselin the NFL reporter for DallasNews.com.
He contends that the Eagles, the Giants and the Patriots are the three best football teams in the NFL right now. In addition he points out that all three teams made moves during the off season to make their ballclubs better.
Gosselin sees Jeremy Maclin coming in here and starting opposite DeSean Jackson. If Maclin picks things up that quick, the Eagles offense could be like "Liquid Nitro". The Birds would have more speed and playmaking on the field than any other time in their history.
He talks about Cornelius Ingram and his ability to be a weapon for McNabb in the red zone.
Gosselin also points out that LeSean McCoy is a carbon copy of Westbrook and will allow the Eagles to run their offense the same regardless of which back is on the field.
Before you get too giddy, Gosselin also raves about the Giants and how tough they're going to be.
He believes rookie wide receivers, Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden, will be the answer for New York in replacing Plaxico Burress.
Gosselin expects some serious battles between the Giants and the Birds for the NFC East title.
He said a few nice things about the Patriots who are getting that guy named Brady back on the field.
