Is it true that the Eagles are the fourth best NFL team from an organizational standpoint? So says Robert Boland of NationalFootballPost.com .
He rates the Eagles behind the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants and the New England Patriots.
In looking at these four teams, I know that you immediately notice that the Eagles are the only team amongst this group to not have a Lombardi Trophy.
In fact the Eagles are the ony team in this group to not have won a Super Bowl in the last four years.
The Steelers, Giants and Patriots have not only won Super Bowls in recent years, they are mutliple Super Bowl winners.
Boland made these judgments after looking at the stability and consistency of each organization. He took a look at the financial status, front office, player personnel and coaching personnel.
Notice that these top teams have a loyal following and a relatively new stadium to play in.
Here are Boland's top 16. Do you agree?
1 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2. New York Giants, 3. New England Patriots, 4. Philadelphia Eagles, 5. Baltimore Ravens, 6. Green Bay Packers, 7. Dallas Cowboys, 8. Denver Broncos, 9. Indianapolis Colts, 10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 11. Kansas City Chiefs, 12. Minnesota Vikings, 13. Seattle Seahawks, 14. Tennessee Titans, 15. Houston Texans, 16. New York Jets.
