Rating the owners has become somewhat of a habit. You remember last week when NationalFootballPost rated the Eagles #4. SI.com also put them at #4.
Like NationalFootballPost.com, Sports Illustrated ranked the Steelers number one, but they had the Patriots in the second spot, the Giants in the third and the Eagles in the fourth.
The Ravens followed the Eagles.
They also had the five worst NFL organizations. The Oakland Raiders – to the delight of the Lions – were considered the worst organization. Detroit was up next, then came the Redskins, followed by the Bengals and then the 49ers.
Like the other list, the Eagles are the only team in the top five to not have a Super Bowl title.
If the Eagles ever do get a Super Bowl title, then Jeffrey Lurie and Joe Banner will be the toast of the town and the darling of these rankings.
You have to admit that they do some things very well, foremost of all they know how to make money. They know how to win consistently but they haven't learned how to win the big one yet.
