Is it me or do most of my headlines end with a question mark? Buried in a recent NY Times article on Shawn Andrews is a paragraph where Andrews claims that a former friend tried to set up Andrews' murder.
Here is the quote from the article:

Before his rookie season, he said that one longtime Arkansas friend asked him, “How much are you worth?” Then the friend asked for help in paying child support, rent and a car loan. After he declined, Andrews said, the friend invited him to a deer-hunting camp. Another friend later warned that he was being set up to be shot in what would look like a hunting accident, Andrews said."
Wow. The Times says that they could not independently verify this story, but that's some story. If I had things like that to be worried about I might be depressed too.
So, is this true? Rich Moran, Andrews' agent, told the Times in an email that he had not heard this story before. Either Shawn is some story teller, or he's hanging out with the wrong crowd.
