Ingram -New Red Zone Weapon

Do you think it was a coincidence that the Birds were working on red zone routes and Cornelius Ingram was the target on quite a few of them?

It makes sense that a 6'5" former basketball player could be a tough cover in the red zone.

They had the kid lining up inside and lining up outside.  They had him on the ball and they had him off the ball.  They had him in his stance and they had him on the move.

He was all over the place and they were getting the football to him.

Andy and Marty have been spending plenty of time in the lab, drawing up plays for their new weapon.

When they split him wide, they'll be interested to see what defender the defense sends out there with him. They could have their mismatch right away if the defense sends the wrong guy out there.

I could see Ingram and Brent Celek being a big part of the team's red zone attack. They're both good athletes who have good size  and hands.

Ingram continued to impress everyone watching by catching everything that was thrown his way.  He plucked the ball out of the air with this hands.

You can believe that the Birds are going to give this kid plenty of chances to make plays.  If he makes a few catches it will force teams to make adjustments which could free up other players.
