McNabb Comments On J.J. & Vick

Eagles QB Donovan McNabb made some supportive comments on his Yardbarker blog about Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Johnson and former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick.

He wrote the following comments on his blog under the heading "My Thoughts On A Couple of Friends"

"My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim Johnson as he battles through another round of chemotherapy to deal with cancer. Jim is one of the toughest men I’ve come across and although he has a tough battle ahead, no one is going to fight harder.

I am happy that Michael Vick has served his time and will now be afforded the opportunity to move on with his life. I’m sure he will continue to be remorseful and will learn from his experiences. Hopefully he will have the opportunity to continue his dream of playing professional football."

Of course, McNabb will face no criticism for his support of Johnson but the situation is not the same for Vick, who is currently radioactive and will remain that way for a while.

McNabb could face a backlash for offerring any type of support for Vick.

A lot of people are repulsed by the mere thought of  Vick and what he did to the dogs who were trained in his dog fighting ring. Many people don't want to see Vick ever play again in the National Football League.

I personally believe he should be allowed back in the league, but I don't see a long list of teams that would be interested in him.
