Our favorite running back was at it again today. Lorenzo Booker is not backing off the belief that everything is fine and he's still in a favorable position with the coaching staff.
Booker told us today that with Correll Buckhalter gone, he's the number two running back to Brian Westbrook. As far as he's concerned he's right on schedule to make an impact this year.
Don't laugh, he was serious.
He wasn't done there. He went on to say that he talked to the team's coaches throughout the season a year ago and they told him that he wasn't doing anything wrong.
I didn't ask him this but maybe he wasn't talking to the coaches on this team. Maybe he was talking to coaches from an AFC team.
Booker went into the same explanation he gave yesterday about the fact that LeSean McCoy was drafted in the second round. He says that leaves the door open for him.
The former Florida State running back reasons if McCoy were drafted in the first round then he knows he would be ahead of him.
If Booker doesn't accomplish anything, he has caught McCoy's attention. The rookie running back has started running harder, faster and longer every time he touches the ball since the veteran got here.
Booker runs hard and fast with the ball every time he touches it, so McCoy has reciprocated.
