The Eagles will start their full OTA workouts tomorrow with both the rookies and the veterans taking part.
It's going to be very enlightening to find out how much progress the rookies have truly made because we get the chance to see the work against the veterans.
Everybody will be closely watching number pick Jeremy Maclin, who will probably be lining up behind Kevin Curtis at the X or split end position. On Thursday and Friday of last week, they had him lining up inside at the slot position at times.
The kid seems to be digesting the system quite well. It'll be very interesting to see how much he works out with the first team.
Second round pick LeSean McCoy will continue his struggle to learn all that goes into the Eagles running back position. The shifts outside and wide reciever patterns have been something very new to him.
I hope he was studying during the weekend because the coaches will be adding additional plays and formations this week.
Rookie tight end Cornelius Ingram will be working at the number two tight end position behind Brent Celek. He'll get a good amount of opportunities because he'll not only be running number two but he will also get the chance to work in the two tight end sets.
The Birds have him penciled in as one of the key targets in the red zone attack.
Defensive back Victor "Macho" Harris will continue working at both the cornerback and safety positions. He's fifty-fifty to make the team. The Eagles have quite a few guys ahead of him.
Rookie wide out Brandon Gibson has been doing a good job, but I think the best he could do will be the practice squad because the numbers are stacked up against him.
Free agent tight end Eugene Bright could make a run at making the team if he can block. We won't find that out until training camp but he not much of a receiver. That's understandable since the youngster was a defensive end in college at Purdue.
He played high school ball with Andy Reid's kids at Harriton High School in the Philadelphia suburbs.
