Birds Have Fun In One-On-One Drills

The Birds receivers and defensive backs had a lot of fun in the one on one drills.  It started with a bang as DeSean Jackson caught Asante Samuel guessing and went by him like a shot.

Jackson gathered in the ball about 50 yards downfield as he was leaving Samuel in the dust.

This happened after Samuel challenged McNabb and all of the receivers at the start of the one on one drills.

Samuel did the same thing at the previous mini camp but backed up with an interception, this time he was toast.

On the next play, the young fella, Jeremy Maclin ran a nice trail route which was about 20 yards downfield.  During the day, Maclin dropped a few balls but he also came with a couple of really nice catches.

Reid commented that he finished last week in spectacular fashion.  Remember you heard that first here on GCobb.com.

I've never seen Andy let rookies work with the first group as quick as he's doing with these guys.

Kevin Curtis did some of the early individual drills but he didn't participate in much after that.   He stood on the side and stretched out.

Reid said they're bringing him back slowly.

Samuel went off when backup cornerback Joselio Hanson locked down free agent wide out Danny Amendola.

The dred-locked Pro Bowl cornerback yelled, “That’s my $25 million nickel back right there.
