Well it seems like the Phillies have found a temporary solution to their' closer problems. Just sit Lidge. He was placed on the 15-day DL today retroactive to June 7th with a sprained knee.
To replace Lidge on the roster, the Phillies are calling up catcher Paul Bako from double-A Reading.
This is actually a good thing for the Phillies. This means that something wasn't physically right with him and that he should return to 2008 form or some facsimile thereof. That is unless "sprained knee" is code for "broken psyche."
