Channel 6 sportscaster Gary Papa died today of prostrate cancer. He had battled it courageously for years.
I had seen Gary battle for so long. He years. I had spoken to the folks over at channel six and they said he had been coming in and doing the telecast on and off.
Gary was a committed and enthusiastic sports anchor and reporter. He was a lot of fun to be around and I enjoyed many laughs with him.
We will all pray that his family is comfortted during the time. He leaves behind a wife and two children. God Bless all of them.
