The Giants have made a few roster moves, including signing third-round WR Ramses Barden to a four-year deal.
Barden is the second WR they drafted and he’s designed to help replace Burress.¬† He’s 6’6″, 227 lbs, but reports out of the OTA’s was that he seemed slow off the line and couldn’t get open against press coverage.¬† That’s doesn’t sound Plaxico-replacement worthy to me.
The Giants have also waived former Eagles draft pick Rashad Barksdale, the cornerback from Albany.¬† That’s a little surprising, but it seems like they like seventh-round pick Stoney Woodson.¬† They also cut former Jaguar TE George Wrightster, but that was to be expected.
