Around The NFL – Mon. 7/20/09

Skins' QB Jason Campbell has head coach Jim Zorn's future in his hands.  Vikes head coach Brad Childress gets look at Brett Favre throwing the football.  Michael Vick gets released today.

The Washington Examiner makes it's very clear that the future of head coach Jim Zorn and this Redskins team is in the hands of quarterback Jason Campbell.   Although the Skins have tried to replace Campbell with current Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez, they'll be depending on him when the season starts.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress got a chance to see quarterback Brett Favre workout on video and he said he likes the way Favre is throwing the football.  With all of this nonsense that's been going on regarding Favre, Childress had to say that he liked the way he threw the ball.

Michael Vick is supposed to be released from federal custody today and that means all eyes will turn to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to see whether Vick's suspension will continue or whether he will be promptly reinstated.

Teams are not going to express any interest in the controversial quarterback until they know he's available.
