The Eagles and number one draft pick Jeremy Maclin's agent, Jim Steiner will step up their contract negotiations this week as training camp nears.
Steiner, who talked to Philly.com is confident they will get something done in time . "Realistically, we should be able to find some common ground to get Jeremy into camp on time. I'm optimistic. I don't think Jeremy is worried and I don't think the Eagles are worried."
ProFootballTalk.com broke down the parameters that Maclin and the Eagles have to deal with. According to them it's pretty much of a locked up and shut deal.
There have been only two players in the first round who have signed thus far, Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez. In fact there have been few players that have signed in the second round.
Second round running back LeSean McCoy is already signed and ready to go.
