Favre & Clemens – Two Real Good Guys

Do you want to know why I pay little to no attention when the sports media says "This guy is a great guy or this guy is a bad guy", because they don't know what they're talking about most of the time.

Check out Brett Favre and Roger Clemens for instance. Remember the coverage they got through most of their careers.  According to the sports media, they were some of the greatest people who have ever lived on the earth.

Now we see that both of these guys are more about themselves than anybody else.

Near the end of his career, Roger started holding teams hostage by signing contracts to play only part of the season.  He would only be with the team when he pitched, otherwise he would live at home in Texas.

Imagine that he'll only play part of the season, but not be with the team when he's not pitching.

Right now Favre is playing the "Prima Donna" and telling Vikings that he will let them know at the end of the month whether he can play this year or not.  He did the same thing with the Packers, then the Jets.

It's common knowledge that he's doing this because he doesn't want to have to workout with the team during the off season.

Notice that these guys are able to do this and face little criticism while other players are rightfully ripped to shreds if they exhibit this type of selfish behavior.

They were supposed to be men of character.  They were supposed to be unselfish.

Now Clemens might be headed to jail and Favre won't ever retire.
