More training camp notes 8/1

If you hated my first round of training camp notes, you'll hate these just as much.  More of my thoughts from Lehigh today:

-Jack Ikegwuonu looked very physical at the line in the one-on-one's.

-I thought it was funny after Sheldon knocked the ball down in front of DeSean, a fan screamed quite audibly, "Hey Andy!  You better pay him!"

-As the day went on, I think that I look really stupid regarding McCoy.  I didn't think he had the speed to excel in the NFL.  I know he hasn't even played a preseason game, but he clearly belongs on the field.

-Leonard Weaver is one fast FB.  And when I say FB, I mean fullback, not Facebook.  Although he'd be fast on Facebook too.

-Great catch over the middle by Jason Avant after Demps kind of clotheslined his head. However, if that was a real game, Avant would have had to get up to look around the field for his head.

-I was standing near Ike Reese while watching practice and the fans were hollering out his name.  They wanted him to put the pads on and get out there. "C'mon Ike!  You can still do it!"  He calmly turned around and replied, "oh no I can't!"

-If I didn't know anything before I showed up and you told me Ingram was a first-round pick (he's actually a fifth), I think I'd believe it.

-In live drills, Darren Howard absolutely torched Todd Herremans at the left tackle spot.  He chased Donovan, but was met with a ginormous shot that sent him straight to the ground.  The assassin?   Winston Justice.  I guess if you can't block the guy in front of you, you turn around and look for anyone streaking through the backfield.

-This offensive line is a mess right now.  Backups playing and guys playing out of position.  It's all out of whack.  And it looks it too.  Between the penalties and the poor play, it is indeed a mess.

-Two drops for Avant this morning.  That's a lot for him.  One was snagged out of the air by Quinton Mikell.  Quarterbacks love getting charged with those kind INT's.
