Running Comments On The Game

The first series wasn't much to write home about but LeSean McCoy made a nice run with a good cutback and Leonard Weaver had a nice reception for 10 yards which is something we haven't seen from a fullback in a long time.

Sheldon Brown made a great play on the 3rd play to get the defense off the field.

The fumble by Jeremy Maclin reminds us again, why you don't like to depend on rookies.  He took his eye off the ball because of the pressure he was feeling from the Patriots defender closing in on him.

Weaver is so much quicker than the fullbacks they've had here in a long, long time.  He provides another threat on that offense.

Donovan had the ball knocked down on the throw to Curtis because he was staring him down on that play.  They should be running a back or somebody in front of the linebacker to pull him out of that zone.

McNabb flat out missed Curtis on the out route, but it also seemed like he was slipping on his break.

The bomb to Randy Moss was a matter of him just having unbelievable speed.  Asante Samuel recognized the route but Moss just out ran him and Tom Brady hit him in stride.

I like the way the defense was attacking the Patriots running attack on that series, but there was no pressure at all on Brady on the touchdown pass.

He was standing back there like he had all day to throw it.  Akeem Jordan was the guy on the coverage and he made the mistake of looking back for the ball too early.

When the receiver came inside Jordan looked back for the ball and it was at that time that the receiver went back outside.  That was too easy.
