Sources tell ESPN that Michael Vick could earn as much as $8 million next year if he reaches all of his incentives. It says here that he won't, but I have to pass the info along anyway.
Indeed, Vick has $2.75 million in incentives for 2010, that when combined with his $5.25 million for salary and roster bonus, can put his total for that year at $8 million.
Somewhere, some people who Vick owes a ton of money to, are buying their #7 Eagles jerseys and rooting him on.
The odds of him achieving these incentives are slim and none. I don't know the specifics of the incentives, but I'm sure they are tied to him being a starting QB and performing very well. I doubt that those incentives kick in for a few Wildcat TD runs.
I'm still trying to figure out how the Eagles would even pick up that second year as they have the club option on that. Donovan would have to be missing a leg and Vick would have to prove that he's an entirely new QB than the guy that skipped passes all over the Georgia Dome turf several years ago.
