The Eagles have signed former Cowboys tight end Tony Curtis and linebacker Curtis Gatewood. To make room for them, they have released wide receiver Shaheer McBride and quarterback Adam DiMichelle.
Curtis is supposed to be a blocking tight end, who will help the Birds on short yardage and goalline. I know the Birds are trying to improve their success rate in those running situations.
Gatewood has some potential as an outside linebacker and will likely get a chance to back up and contribute on the special teams.
McBride is a youngster from Chester who showed some promise last year but just isn't good enough to cut it at this level. I think his NFL career is in his review mirror.
If he were to get stronger, he might be able to play somewhere.
DiMichelle is a terrible quarterback who throws a ball which would get his receivers killed. His arm is strong enough to play on the NFL level.
