Everybody's trying to be a doctor nowadays in the Shawn Andrews situation. I can't honestly say that I know whether he's really hurt or not but it seems like everybody else knows.
Shawn is a different type of dude but that doesn't mean he's faking. Just because he wears that mohawk doesn't mean he's faking.
Haven't we learned that a hair style doesn't make a man?
The truth is the medical industry hasn't solved the puzzle of back surgery. I know a number of people who are in constant pain after having a surgeon cut on their backs. They were better off without it.
Is this the case with Shawn? I don't know and neither does anybody else but him, yet you wouldn't know it if by what people are saying.
I want to remind everybody about what happened with former Sixers great, Andrew Toney. Toney and center Mose Malone led the Sixers to an NBA championship in 1983 and he was known as the "Boston Strangler".
Toney started having trouble with his feet and former Sixers owner Harold Katz accused him of faking.
Andrew doesn't want to have anything to do with the Sixers because of the way he was treated.
We need to let the doctors be doctors and not have everybody going around running their mouths as if they really know what's happening with Shawn.
