We talked to Big Shawn after he worked out with the team today and he said he felt good. The practice was closed and in shorts so he still has some steps to go to be all the way back to full speed workouts.
At this present time, everything is full speed ahead for the next practice. Tomorrow I think the Birds will have the pads on so it will be important that Shawn is able to do everything then.
Head coach Andy Reid had said earlier that he had Andrews working with the second unit because he didn't want him to push things too fast.
He wants to work and progress in much the same way they have done Brian Westbrook, with the focus on taking things slow and avoiding all setbacks. So far things have been looking up, since the big fella went to visit Dr. Robert Watkins, the surgeon who performed the procedure on his back.
Reid nor Andrews would commit to him playing on Thursday against the Jets. That decision is going to made based on how he feels the next couple of days of workouts.
You the date that they have their eyes on isn't this Thursday but a week and half later in North Carolina.
