Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver is back on the practice field this afternoon. He told he’s not concerned about all the mistakes and uncertainty on the offensive side of the ball. Weaver is confident that they’ll be more than ready for the regular season.
Weaver has a brace on his left knee from the MCL sprain which he suffered. He will go through the entire practice today which will last about a hour and a half.
As far as I’m concerned he’s one of the most valuable additions to the lineup that the Eagles made during off season.
He’s a major improvement over converted defensive tackle Danny Klecko and he had the ability to do so many different things for the offense.
Weaver is a very good blocker, pass receiver and runner.
I expect the Birds to give him the ball sparingly but when they do expect big plays because defenses are going to be trying to stop Brian Westbrook and the Eagles receivers.
Most of the time when he gets the ball it’s going to be a shock to the defense.
