Marty Promises Use Of Vick Will Be Helpful

It's plain and simple that you're not going to see Michael Vick coming in every other play when he's activated and utilized as another weapon in the Eagles offensive attack.

I could see them using him every ten plays which would total six plays out of sixty offensive plays in a game. This is what makes sense to me.

Earlier today Marty Mornhinweg made it plain that they're not going to use Vick in a way that it disrupts the rhythm of the offense.

"It was new", Mornhinweg explained.  "Listen, I understand the rhythm and all of that, but one play here and there is not going to disrupt the rhythm.  It won't happen.  So we'll continue to do that and Michael will help us in some of those situations."

I don't think Donovan McNabb should have been so demonstrative on the sidelines when he told Mornhinweg that they needed to be given a chance to get in a rhythm, but he did the right thing in telling him.

This offense can be explosive, if the offensive line comes together and plays the way they're capable.

I expect to see Vick more in the red zone than anywhere else, but hey're going to use Vick whether McNabb likes it or not.  Remember he signed off on it at the beginning of the season.

Here's what Mornhinweg went on to say.

"Receivers like to get into a little rhythm too and they're in and out," said Mornhinweg. "Backs go in and out. We change personnel groups virtually every play. . . .  There it is, that's my thoughts about that."

Of course you're going to have a certain portion of Eagles fans asking to see Vick put in to replace McNabb, but that's no big deal.

I could see from the way Vick is more talkative around the Nova Care complex that the chance to play in a game and the warm welcome has caused him to feel more comfortable being an Eagle.
