NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says Michael Vick is making the “right kind of progress”. I don’t know what he means by that but it must mean something good.
“A lot of those issues I’m focusing on are off the field. How is he dealing with the transition? Does he have his family relocated? Does he have the right people around him helping him make decisions?” Goodell said, according to the AP. “Tony Dungy’s been incredibly helpful. Donovan McNabb’s been helpful. I talk to Michael on a weekly basis, if not more. I’ll be meeting with him again sometime in the near future. … He’s focused on the right things.”
I hope Vick is appreciative of what everybody is doing for him because I have never seen so many people extend themselves for a guy who hadn’t been given the chance to prove he was worthy of it.
All these individuals are putting their reputations on the line for him.
The Eagles got down to 75 today by putting Stewart Bradley and Cornelius Ingram on injured reserve and waiving defensive back Brandon Harrison, and injured linebacker Charleston Hughes. They had previously let go of offensive tackle Chris Patrick.
