The Eagles have seven wide receivers on their roster but only five of them will be active today. The Eagles inactives are Brandon Gibson, Sean Jones, Joe Mays, Shawn Andrews, Mike McGlynn, Todd Herremans, Reggie Brown and Jason Babin.
The fact that Jones is inactive doesn’t say much for how he has impressed the teams coaches. You would figure that Jones would have been a major contributor on the special teams if he wasn’t starting, but he’s obviously not doing much there either.
Guys are put on this group if they’re not starting and not major contributors on special teams.
