Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is known for his tremendous ability as a wide receiver and his tendency to take shots at his own teammates.
We have now learned that he also delivers a pretty good verbal blow when he wants to.
Smith was sitting by his quarterback Jake Delhomme during another awful performance by the quarterback, when he made memorable statement.
Says Smith: “I never really liked you as a quarterback. But as a person . . . I love you as a person.”
Delhomme might have been better off if Smith had punched him in the face.
