You’re going to probably get a look at what could be the future of the Eagles on Sunday. DeSean Jackson will definitely be starting at the flanker position. Jeremy Maclin will probably be starting at split end and chances are Kevin Kolb will get his second start at the quarterback position.
Jackson has recovered from his groin injury to the point where he will start on Sunday. The problem with the injury is that he could reinjure it during the game. If that happens it will be a major problem for the Birds because Jackson is the most dangerous weapon on the football team.
If he’s not there it will allow the Chiefs safeties to creep closer to the line of scrimmage.
There’s even a chance that rookie running back LeSean McCoy may start but Brian Westbrook is likely to play because he’s listed as questionable.
BWest sprained his ankle against the Saints and didn’t practice today but could still wind up playing.
Kevin Curtis who is being bothered by a sore knee is considered doubtful for the game. Curtis has been hurting throughout the off season with an assortment of injuries. If Maclin shines, it could be the last time Curtis starts this season if he can’t get healthy.
Donovan McNabb is listed as doubtful for the game because he’s still got sore ribs and hasn’t been throwing the ball at full strength. If he doesn’t play on Sunday he will have another week off to let those ribs recover.
Second year safety Quintin Demps is listed as doubtful because of his hamstring problems. He didn’t play last week but is still holding out hope that he will be able to go this weekend.
