It’s official, veteran middle linebacker Jeremiah Trotter signs a one-year deal with the Eagles and the Birds released quarterback Jeff Garcia.
Trotter was brought in yesterday for his second workout and the seriousness was taken up a notch when the Eagles put him through a physical.
Now Trotter has become a Philadelphia Eagles middle linebacker for the third time in his career. He hasn’t played any football since the 2007 season with Tampa Bay.
It’s going to make things interesting at the middle linebacker spot. Omar Gaither is now manning the position but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a lot of Trotter when they play the big and physical running 
teams like the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.
Gaither was benched a year ago after the Giants ran all over the Eagles.
Garcia had to know he days were numbered when he saw the progress of Kevin Kolb. He was brought in as a safety valve if Kolb didn’t pan out.
