I’ve got to give credit to Brett Favre for his performance last night against the Green Bay Packers. He played a great football game and didn’t turn the ball over. It was one of the best games I’ve ever seen him play.
I criticized all the nonsense between Favre and Brad Childress before the season, but you can’t deny he whupped some Green Bay last night. He can say that it wasn’t personal but it was.
I take my hat off to Jared Allen as well. He’s a grown man who comes off the corner like he means business.
Still I don’t think Favre can keep it up for the entire season and the playoffs. NFL football is hard on the body and this season is just getting started.
I think the Vikings are peaking right now and that’s the not the way you win championships. Favre wanted that game against the Packers in the worst way but that’s not the way you win championships.
For too long around here we have put beating the Cowboys above everything else. It shouldn’t be about beating the Cowboys it should be about winning a championship.
Plus, have you noticed how much Tony Romo and the Cowboys miss the talent of Terrell Owens. I know Owens looks like he’s over the hill but you see that Romo isn’t the same without those weapons.
I want to see the Eagles continue to quietly get the job done. I don’t care if anybody around the league notices.
I want to see the young guys continue to improve. Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy must work to become dependable weapons.
I like the way Andy Reid coaches his team on a level emotional plane, so that they’re not up and down. He let’s the emotion build so that by the end of the year they’re playing their best football.
You can’t keep you foot on the neck of the football team for the entire season. If you get too jacked up early on, it’s has trailing off down the stretch.
If the Birds come out and jump on Tampa Bay and build a big lead, I might shut down Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook early.
Their goal must be a championship and not great articles early in the season.
Late in the season, nobody will remember the great game the Vikings had to beat the Packers.
Championships are won in January and February, not October. That reminds, who should Charlie Manuel hand the ball to in the ninth inning.
