Westbrook And Curtis Are Coming Around Slowly

Westbrook catching the ball You can’t be happy with what Eagles offensive coodrinator Marty Mornhinweg had to say about the health of star running back Brian Westbrook.

“He looks a little bit healthier than he did before the bye and before the last ball game,” Mornhinweg said.

This is after missing the New Orleans game and another week off for the bye.  He barely looks like he has improved.

I can tell you that Kevin Curtis isn’t ready to play.  His legs aren’t coming around like they hoped they would, so Jeremy Maclin could very well be starting on Sunday.

I’m starting to feel more and more that both of these guys are acting like players in the last years of their respective careers.

You know you have problems when your body doesnt’ come around.  Injuries that you were previously able to play through, now put on the shelf for an extended period of time.

I know they must feel that they’re letting their teammates down but the body can go only but so long.

You see again why the Eagles circle that 30th birthday.
