“I’ve never done it,” Marty Mornhinweg said. “It’s a unique situation.”
Stacy Andrews will start on the right side with Nick Cole starting on the left.  Jean-Gilles will rotate on both sides.
“I have three guys in there where I feel comfortable doing that,” Andy Reid said. “We have a good little thing there where we can give those guys a (rest) if needed.”
I’m not sure what to think here.¬† Yes, I agree that you can get some guys a breather during the game and Andrews needs it as he gets back from his knee injury from last year.¬† That’s all well and good, but what does this do for continuity and getting the guys acclimated to playing with one another?¬† Isn’t the key to offensive line play how well the guys know each other and their tendencies?¬† As it is, the Eagles have a bunch of new additions, guys playing new positions on the line, and then you add in the injuries and backups playing and it makes for a dicey situation.¬†¬†
I’m not here to say this can’t work, but it’s not ideal.¬† And remember they’ll be asked to protect the franchise QB back there, who is banged up.¬† I guess if you are going to do something like this, it might as well be against the lowly Bucs.¬†
