If you didn’t know that Donovan McNabb had been sidelined with a rib injury, you wouldn’t be able to tell from today’s practice that he had ever been injured.¬†
He made all the throws.  Rolling to the right throwing and rolling to the left throwing.
He has to use his stomach and that rib area every times he throws the ball but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
I don’t know what’s going to happen when he gets hit, but he’s moving well right now.¬† The Eagles have to pleased with where he is at the moment.
McNabb has plenty of reasons to want to get back out there.  He has the best set of weapons on this offense, since that 2004 Super Bowl season.
I had said early in the off season that McNabb would give himself a great chance of being a Hall Of Fame quarterback, if he can stay here with the set of weapons he has to work with.
DeSean Jackson continues to shine.  He seems to get better every time I see him workout.
I must also inform you that it won’t be long until DeSean is demanding the big bucks.¬† The Eagles had better get ready to give him a new deal next year.
Brent Celek is blossoming as well.¬† I see Celek in the weight room working hard and doing the same thing at practice.¬† He’s a big improvement over the underachieving L.J. Smith.¬† Celek is a dependable target, who gives McNabb an outlet if he gets in trouble.
Jason Avant serves the same role on third down for McNabb.  Avant uses his smarts and toughness to make those big catches on third downs.
I love Jeremy Maclin’s ability and potential but I’m not crazy about his attitude.¬† You would think this kid had already put together a series of 1,500-yard seasons.¬† He walks about like he’s done something.
If I were one of the veterans on the team, I would see to it that we kicked his butt for a while to give him some humility.
DeSean is cocky toward the game of football, but he’s not arogant toward people in the manner Maclin is.¬† Everybody likes DeSean, but Maclin isn’t one of the favorites in the locker room because he tries to carry himself like he’s Jerry Rice.
Somebody’s going to get him before too long and I’ll smile when it happens.¬† It will make him a better player.
Back to McNabb and all these weapons, I think he has to put together a great season in order to return next year as the Eagles starter.
Tampa Bay should help him get off to a good start on Sunday.
