For awhile there, I thought there was a chance that Andy Reid might be coaching his last year as the Eagles head coach but now, I’m sure that’s not the case.
According to Philly.com, Andy Reid’s agent Bob LaMonte confirmed yesterday that he and the Eagles have begun talks to extend his contract.
“Andy definitely wants to stay in Philadelphia, and the team definitely wants him to stay in Philadelphia,” LaMonte, said yesterday.
This means you’re going to see Reid at the helm of the Birds for at least the next four or five years. I think the emergence of a number of the young players have given the Eagles ownership and front office the confidence in Reid to extend his contract.
He’s got a young group of players who are sure to give the Eagles a talented group of offensive weapons for the forseeable future as well as a young group of defensive players.
I know that the Eagles ownership and front office are very excited about their future with the young talent they have on board.
