Coming into the game the Raiders had been bltizing very little and playing a lot of man to man coverages.
They were getting torched by offenses with much less talent than the Eagles.
After looking at the Eagles on video, they knew there was no way they’re going to cover all the speed the Eagles were putting on the field, if they tried to play them in man to man coverages.
So they scrapped the man-to-man and started playing zone and blitzing from all over the place.
The Eagles needed to be more patient by running the ball and throwing it short. They’ve got plenty of receivers to get the ball to in short routes.
They couldn’t block the Raiders blitzes and pass rush, so why not start running the football.
They never made the adjustment.
You’ve got experienced coaches and an experienced quarterback, but no adjustments.
