A .211 NLCS Average Means Chase Is Hurt?

Utley in his stanceI just read a Philly.com article about Chase Utley being hurt.

There’s been no report that he’s hurt.  He says he’s not hurt and his manager says he’s not hurt.

But he’s been in somewhat of a slump in the NLCS, where he hit .211, so he must be hurt.  I’ve never heard of that type of reasoning.  Who else gets that type of treatment?

Is there other star athlete in Philadelphia who gets that type of treatment?  Any time they don’t well, they’re hurt.

I’ve heard critism targeted at every other guy in town but for some reason you can’t say anything about Chase.  I heard people being criticized for saying something about him throwing the ball into the stands two games in a row.

Chase pounding the ball What’s up with that?  The guys a great player, but he should treated like everybody else is treated here in Philly.  We tell the truth regardless of which player we’re talking about.

Playing through injuries is done by nearly every pro athlete that has ever played.

The Phils are getting ready to battle the Yankees for a World Series championship and this injury comes out of nowhere.

I don’t believe in Sacred Cows, “the good guys”, regardless of who the players are.  Chase didn’t have a great series against the Dodgers but there’s no reason to make up an injury.

He’ll be ready to go against the Yankees, he’s a great player and hopefully he’ll have a great series.
