I know, I know, it was an ugly win over the Redskins. You’ve got no argument from me.
Still it means the Birds get a digit in the win column and later in the season when the playoff teams are qualifying, it will look like an impressive win over a good team.
It’s too bad they couldn’t have had the same type of ugly win over the Raiders.
The Eagles know they’ve got to start playing better football but that’s true of all the teams left on their schedule. The New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons,Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and etc., all need to start playing better football.
I feel better about the Eagles chances of improving their performances than many of the other teams.
I’ll give it to Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb, they have been able to right the ship and get it going in the direction of the playoffs in the past. I hope that’s also the case this year.
Brian Westbrook may not be able to play against the Giants but I want to see him back out there as soon as possible.
The concussion wasn’t a good thing but he didn’t hurt his ankles or knees.
Reid needs to figure out what he’s doing with Michael Vick and the Wildcat offense.
McNabb needs to stop throwing the ball at the feet of the receivers.
The offensive line must get in sync. Todd Herremans needs to get healthy and get on the same page with the guys beside him.
Although he got off to a great start, Will Witherspoon will need more time to work with the defense to feel totally comfortable in his new position.
The defense must find a way to get pressure on the quarterback without blitzing and find a way to control opposing tight ends.
The Birds aren’t in a bad position right now sitting at 4-2.
