Donovan started off his news conference saying that they all know how important this game is against the Giants.
He said he knows the Giants are trying to get back on the winning side after two losses.
McNabb said he’s not going to predict whether Brian Westbrook will play or not. He said if Westbrook doesn’t play it won’t change the way he prepares himself to play.
He said he wouldn’t make any excuses to blame the offensive problems on the offensive line. I’ll blame it on them.
McNabb said he would have liked to have some of his throws back against the Skins but he said he must give the Skins some of the credit.
Teams are starting to focus on taking away Jason Avant.
He says they want to do a better job of converting third downs. They need to convert about 45% of the third downs to get the offense back in line.
McNabb says the Giants are ranked number one in the league defensively, so moving the ball against them will be difficult.
They need to stay out of too many third and long situations.
McNabb admitted to missing throws the last couple of weeks. He said he has been rushing his throws, aiming the football and not setting his feet properly.
