Victor “Macho” Harris didn’t practice again today and that will probably mean Sean Jones will probably get the start at safety.
Harris has been bothered by an ankle sprain.
If he can’t go, Jones will take over as the starter and Quintin Demps will be the next safety off the bench for Dime coverages.
Andy Reid mentioned that Jones had been rotating in there since the start of the season, so he doesn’t think it’s going to be a big deal.
I talked to Jones and he says he’s ready and knows how big this game is. In my opionion if he were to play well he could take that starting safety job because I really have seen anything special that Macho had done with the opportunity.
Of course Sean McDermott and Andy Reid would have to be comfortable with Jones’ ability to defend the deep pass if he were to happen to get caught back there.
Defensive end Chris Clemons missed practice today due to an illness. They didn’t give any specifics, so I would assume that he’s probably battling the flu.
I think they expect him to play and I do as well.
Victor Abiamiri, Kevin Curtis and Dmitri Patterson have all been ruled out of Sunday’s game.
Abiamiri continues trying to recover a knee injury.
Curtis has athroscopic surgery done on his knee a couple of weeks ago, so he’ll need more time to get back on the field.
Patterson continues to be bothered by a quadracep injury.
Westbrook had another test done today and Reid said they were waiting to get the results.
