I know Cole Hamels led the Phillies to a World Series Championship last year but somebody has to tell him to shut his mouth.
He’s digging himself into a hole, which he may never be able to get out of.
Here the Phllies are in the middle of a hard-fought World Series and he makes a couple of statements that are breathtaking.
“I can’t wait for it to end,” he said. “It’s been mentally draining. At year’s end, you just can’t wait for a fresh start.”
“I CAN’T WAIT FOR IT TO END”. Are you kidding? Why can’t you wait for it to end?
Charlie Manuel or one of Cole’s teammates must tell him to shut his trap. You can’t say everything that goes through your mind.
To be honest, I can understand why he would be tired at this point in the season. I can understand him feeling like shutting it down after a tough loss, but why would you ever say that.
Yes, you might go home and cry the blues to your wife at night, but you get up next morning and you’re ready to go.
Again, Cole has to learn not to say everything that runs through his mind.
