Why is it that the Eagles never come back to win in the fourth quarter?
Is it more McNabb with his accuracy problems and inability to connect on the big pass with the game on the line?
Last night on the final offensive drive he missed Brent Celek on a low throw. It was a tough throw but he’s got to make more of those if they’re going to pull out the close games.
He missed DeSean Jackson time or two last night as well.
Is it more Andy Reid and his poor play calling and problematic clock management? Reid always has problems with timeouts and any type of time management.
He also have problems getting the plays in if it’s a big play. Many times a timeout is burned when they have to make a big call. Why haven’t they prepared before hand, so that he knows what plays he likes in certain situations?
I think it’s a combination of the two.
It doesn’t make sense to run a throw, throw, throw offense with a quarterback who is streaky. His accuracy leaves him at times, yet they just continue to throw, throw, throw.
How do you send LeSean McCoy in motion on a 3rd and one and have McNabb try to complete a pass outside to him for a one yard gain? It makes no sense.
In the first half they run the ball for nine yards on two plays
Too many times, McNabb is throwing the toughest of passes which he has a 50/50 chance of completing with the game on the line.
Many times they refuse to run the ball even if McNabb is having a cold streak. There’s no way you can throw the ball on every down if you have a streaky passer.
They did run the ball abit last night but I think it was because they knew they couldn’t block DeMarcus Ware when Jason Peters went down with a sprained ankle.
