Cornerback Sheldon Brown was limited in practice today and Andy Reid said he won’t know until the day of the game whether he will play or not. He’s listed as questionable.
Reid was praising rookie LeSean McCoy today but McCoy had better put the ball away this week. I’ve seen how the Birds go after the ball and try to pull it out.
I don’t want to see the kid sitting at his locker next week with that long sad look on his face.
Andy wouldn’t commit about who was going to start at middle linebacker. He did say that Akeem Jordan won’t play, so that means either Tracy White will start at weakside linebacker or Joe Mays will start at middle linebacker.
He said they will have different linebacker groups in there against different Bears personnel. Mays will be on the field quite a bit of the time and so will White.
I think they’ll put Mays out there on run downs and put White out there on pass downs.
Veteran linebacker Will Witherspoon will move from the middle to weakside linebacker depending on the situation.
He’s got to relax and not try to do too much. Mays is a good football player when he reads and reacts, but he loses that when he starts thinking too much.
Brian Westbrook won’t play this week and he won’t play next week either. The doctors are going to examine him after a couple of weeks off and see how much he’s has recovered from the concussions.
I think the Eagles expect the Bears to run the ball against them. Once they look at how the Chargers ran the ball down the Eagles throats despite having the worst running game in the NFL.
The Bears have to feel good about running the ball against the Eagles.
Reid sounded like Kevin Curtis might not be back before the end of the season.
