The Birds Need More Fighters On The “O” Line

Eagles offensive lineIf you take the time to check out the Eagles offensive line, you will notice that none of them are the fiery type.  They’re all laid back and chilling out.

If you ask me, they’re too laid back.  This same group couldn’t get the ball in the end zone last year in Chicago and they couldn’t get a yard a couple of weeks ago against Dallas.

None of them had a lot to say after the loss.  I’d like to know that they were angry about the failure but you’d never know looking at them in the lockeroom.

You don’t have to make a great block to open a hole for a runner to gain one yard.  These guys are huge but I don’t see the fight.  I don’t like the way they play the game.

This offensive line isn’t physical enough.  I don’t see a mean streak in anybody but Nick Cole.  The rest of the line is made up of nice guys.

Runyan playing at right tackleI’d like to see the Birds get some fighters on their offensive line.  Sorry about Jon Runyan but his legs probably have too much mileage on them to help.

Jamaal Jackson is always very mellow when he talks to the media.  He doesn’t let much bother him.  Nothing.

I see some fire that I like in Cole, but I can’t say the same about Wiston Justice, Todd Herremans or Jason Peters.

You don’t need all the guys to be rah rah guys but you need somebody with some fire to lead the way.

Most of that offensive line probably slept very well on the flight back from San Diego and that bothers me.

I’d like to see some of them take after Runyan and start head hunting during the game.  Maybe Jon could be a consultant for a few weeks and kick some butt on that offensive line.

Their only job is to block and they couldn’t get the job done.
