I was checking out a play or two in Monday night’s Tennessee-Houston game and I saw something I think you’re going to see in the rest of the Eagles games.
I saw Vince Young start out to his left then take a bootleg move and head to his right with speedster Chris Johnson going with him as the pitchman.
The play has got a great design and it was deadly against the Houston Texans.
The line started to it’s left to get all of the defense heading that way. Both Young and Johnson start to the left to get the entire defense going that way, they they turn and head back the other way.
It’s the perfect play for Michael Vick, who had a big play against the Bears as he took a quarterback draw up the middle for 34 yards to set up the Brids first touchdown.
This bootleg option which freed up Young and Johnson for big runs, will fit Vick pefectly.
The Eagles could also put some pass plays in there as well to force the defensive backs to play pass first.
