The Eagles are going to have to do something about young talented tight end, Brent Celek and his injured hand. He showed Sunday that he can’t catch the football with his injury.
Celek has been having a great season, but I know that his hand was injured and it’s impossible to catch those bullets that Donovan McNabb was firing with only one healthy hand.
Yesterday Andy Reid said Celek had strained his hand. You could tell something was wrong because Celek has been very productive and dependable this season.
He must have dropped three catchable balls in a row during a couple of series in the third quarter and it was the main reason that the team was three and out.
I know he’s one of the main reasons the Eagles have a bright future but we can’t ignore what happened during the game. The guy was out there playing with one hand.
You can’t keep throwing the ball to a receiver who can’t catch it for whatever reason. He shouldn’t be out there if he can’t catch the football.
They’ve got to either take him out or stop throwing the ball to him until he is healthy enough to catch the football.
The Birds passing attack will be greatly hindered if both Celek and wide receiver DeSean Jackson can’t play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
