According to Leslie Gudel’s Twitter account, former Eagles fan favorite Freddie Mitchell was arrested in Philadelphia.
“Freddie Mitchell was just arrested in Philadelphia for failure to pay child support,” she tweets.
Ugh.¬† I tend to believe this because I know he’s in town this week to host radio shows on 97.5 FM.¬† So he’s most certainly in the area.¬† As for missing child support payments, well that I wouldn’t know.¬† This story has also appeared on SportsbyBrooks.com and The700Level.com.¬†
Stay tuned, I’m sure there is more on this one.¬† If this is true, I feel badly for all the people in the holding cell that will have to hear about how it’s not his fault that he got cut by the Eagles and how the Eagles put the word out to all the other teams in the NFL that he’s a cancer and that’s why he’s not playing.¬† It could get worse, maybe he’ll start singing them some of his country songs.¬†
Here’s the good news:¬† As long as those handcuffs are on, he won’t be able to put on the People’s Champ belt.¬†
