DeSean Jackson is on another level as a football player. I wonder just how fast is this dude is?
It seems that every time he hits the afterburners, he’s walking into the end zone with nobody else around.
Jackson is a young man with tremendous ability and a high football acumen, which allows him to decipher how to attack a coverage immediately.
He knows he’s good and doesn’t think anybody can cover him. He was asking for the ball and I like the fact that he has that type of attitude.
“DeSean was bugging me the whole time because he wanted the ball,” Andy Reid said. “It was in a good way. He was feeling it.”
Jackson backed up the talk with a 72-yard punt return and 176 receiving yards on six catches. This was an amazing performances.
His punt return was special because he did such a great job of setting up his blockers. Then he hit full stride and headed down the sideline.
His move on Giants punter Jeff Feagles was special because he gave him that inside move to make him think he would go back inside, then he flew by him on the sideline.
On his way to the end zone, he couldn’t help but go into some of his strutting. I know a lot of people don’t like all of the dancing and strutting but I could care less about that as long as he’s getting into the end zone.
The Birds have had great success this year when running him on those deep crossing routes. If they run it against a zone defense, it’s nearly impossible to stop because they wind up getting him matched up against the safeties.
There’s not a safety in the league who can think of covering him.
His touchdown catch was on one of those deep vertical coaching routes. The safety didn’t have a chance.
