DMac & DeSean Must Take Advantage Of All Situations

Jackson celebrates a score I like a lot of the things the Eagles are doing to get DeSean Jackson the ball, but I would like to see them do even more.

Looking at the game from the press box, I saw numerous times when the Eagles come up to the line of scrimmage and it was obvious that the guy whom the Niners had covering Jackson was not capable of it.

Defensive backs are running away from this guy because they’re so afraid of getting beaten deep.  It should be even worse in the playoffs.

Donovan McNabb and Jackson need to have some type of automatic which would allow them to take advantage of situations which occur.

Deep comeback routes should be there for the taking because defensive backs are so afraid of Jackson’s speed.

I liked the way they dialed up the first touchdown as Jackson came to McNabb once he saw him scramble to his left.

The deep play which they hooked up on late in the game was a simple hitch and go route.  They should have gone to Jackson any time they saw Dre Bly and Michael Lewis trying to cover him.

There’s no way in the world that Bly and Lewis can cover this guy.  Both Bly and Lewis are slow, so would have liked to see the Eagles take advantage of them more often.

McNabb over threw Jackson earlier in the game when he took Bly and Lewis deep.

Jackson on the run Tom Brady does that with Randy Moss and Peyton Manning does it with Reggie Wayne.  They’ve got to strike every time the situation allows it.

I’m not talking about McNabb forcing the ball to him which he did on the two interceptions which he threw yesterday.

He threw the ball two or three seconds late on the interception in the end zone.  Jackson ran a post corner post and waited for two seconds at the end of the route before McNabb threw it.

Then he made the cardinal mistake of throwing the ball late across the field on what should have been a scramble.
