Brian Westbrook was back in action today and according to Andy Reid he was working with Donovan McNabb and the offense.
A week ago he was lining up with the scout team. Now he’ll be another weapon that the Denver Broncos will have to worry about.
Most of the talk today was about Brian Dawkins and his return to Philadelphia. Dawk played it down on the conference call but he admitted that it’s going to be a special moment when he runs out in front of the crowd.
The guy embodies so much of what is good about the NFL. Quintin Mikell talked about how much he helped him as a player and moreso as a person.
Reid, McNabb and the rest of the team tried to not get caught up in Dawk’s return because they would come back and stress the fact that they had to play the Broncos and not just Dawkins.
Reid stressed that they had to attack the entire Broncos defense and not just Dawkins.
McNabb said he doesn’t get caught in the former teammates he has to play against because that could cause him to lose his focus.
Mikell said he feels he would have become a quality safety regardless of who was playing behind but he appreciated all that Dawk did for him.
