If you throw a rock in a crowd, the guy who gets hit and is hurting is the first one to yell. Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins is starting to do some yelling.
He’s talking about what he’s going to do to DeSean Jackson. This is totally unnecessary. He just needs to show up on Sunday and do it.
If he shuts down Jackson like he says he and the Dallas defense is going to do, then everyone will know it.
Jackson wouldn’t respond to any of the comments by Jenkins when he was asked about them today.
‘If that’s how he feels, then that’s how he feels,” Jackson said. ”I don’t get caught up in things like that. I’m not going to entertain that. I’ve got a job to go out there and make plays, and I’m going to do it. I don’t feel like nobody’s going to stop me from doing it, so we’re ready for the challenge.”
DeSean said he won’t change anything about his preperation for this game. He said he will show up on Sunday and be ready to do his job.
Jackson is going to get special attention and special coverages all the time now, but he’s doing the right thing by not paying attention to it. Jenkins and the Cowboys are worried as they should be.
Jackson is fast on the grass at Lincoln Financial Field but he might be even faster on the turf the Cowboys new stadium.
